Events That Center People
Each event on our new calendar is curated with one guiding principle: people first. From jazz nights and spoken word performances to film screenings, open mics, youth showcases, and educational workshops, our mission is to create a space where every artist and audience member feels seen, celebrated, and inspired.
Tim Morganfield and Karen A. Clark, the heart and hands behind the Center’s daily magic, have continued Barbara Morrison’s legacy of inclusion and access. Their vision for this new calendar is simple — to make it easier for the community to participate, connect, and grow together.
“Barbara always wanted this space to feel like home for artists and neighbors alike,” says Karen A. Clark. “This new platform helps us do that. It’s about making sure everyone knows they’re welcome here — whether they’re performing, producing, or simply showing up to enjoy.”
